In a viral video circulating around Twitter, a black man is seen being handcuffed by two white officers. In the video, he insists that they have the wrong guy, but they do not listen. It just happens that the video was taken in Minnesota, where black man George Floyd was murdered at the hands of white officer Derek Chauvin.
People on Twitter reportedly believe that the black man is an FBI agent but that has not been confirmed by the person that posted the original video. The officers are from the Minnesota Police Department, the same department that Chauvin belonged to.
Minnesota Police Racially Profiled The Man Who Was Simply Hanging Out In the video, you can see that the black man is sitting outside of a bar smoking a cigarette. Two officers approached him and he said that they are “racially profiling” and assuming that he is someone else.
After the officers deny racial profiling him, he asks one of them “are you, Jake?” The officer denies that is his name and the man says “well you look like a Jake.” This teaches the officers a lesson. Just because this man is black does not mean he is a criminal nor is he the man they are looking for. He is merely just a man trying to relax but attests that he is being “harassed” by these cops.
